Dressing the Roots: A Live Fashion & Art Experience in the Garment District
On Thursday, September 11, the Broadway pedestrian plazas between 39th & 40th Streets were transformed into a vibrant stage for Dressing the Roots—a one-of-a-kind fashion and art experience in the heart of New York City.
The event brought together designer B Michael’s haute couture and Steve Tobin’s monumental New York Roots sculptures in a dynamic open-air runway show. Twelve models animated the couture, moving among and interacting with the towering steel works in a performance that bridged art, fashion, and public space.
