Maui: “Earth to Sky”
In January 2024 Steve Tobin opened a one-year exhibition “Steve Tobin from Earth to Sky” on the island of Maui. This is the largest art exhibition ever for the state of Hawaii. It is significant that it is on the smaller island of Maui where the recent fires devastated their communities. This exhibition at Imua Discovery Garden is meant to revitalize the community and show a powerful response announcing “ Maui Strong”! consisting of over 20 installations of artworks up to 30 feet high addresses issues of unseen power earth ecologies man’s relation to nature creating a broad cultural mix and a grand celebration of nature and man’s relationship to the Earth and the sky…
