Nests
I make my nests in a range of materials and sizes from 1” to 10’ high so far, in ceramic, steel bronze, and whatever inspires me. When I am at the beach I make nests out of seaweed or leaves and sticks when walking in the woods. I leave little treasures in the nests like pearls, shells, nice rocks, and little bronze eggs.
The eggs I make are reflective so the person looking at the egg in the nest is reflected into the egg in the nest.
The viewer is gestating in the nest, asking the question, “What is next for me?” continuing the theme of existential transformation.
