After over a year in the Garment District, Steve Tobin’s monumental New York Roots sculptures are coming down. Once anchoring a striking intersection of art and city life, the installation now gives way as the space returns to its everyday rhythm.
Even in deinstallation, their scale and presence endure—a reminder that while public art may be temporary, its impact is not.
